Just about every day I find myself wondering what the future is going to be like. How integrated we will be with the internet, how advanced the space exploration program will become, will we ever encounter intelligent life, how long until Rosie from the Jetsons is making my breakfast and doing my laundry. While I may not be able to control these things, I can paint a picture in my head of what I think it will all look like. But Mazda has actually created a concept for what the race cars will look like in 2025. That is quite a jump forward, but after seeing the images I have already marked my calendar.

The tracks would need to be resurfaced with a sub-level of an electro-conductive polymer which would power these electric cars of the future. That technology works together with Mazda???s electronic tire system to produce some fantastic results. The Mazda KAAN can reach speeds of up to 250mph and it doesn???t produce any emissions! Talk about a win-win.  The innovation does not stop at the vehicle, with these new speed demons on the track the state of racing itself would change. The KAAN was designed to compete in E1 races, international motorsport that is second to none in popularity and technology. But when the KAAN is racing on the E1 tracks, it will be working in teams of 30 racers. They will be racing similar to have cyclists work together to utilize the draft created by the racers riding closely to one another. While this happens in racing today, it most certainly doesn???t happen in teams of 30 people.

I am not a fan of NASCAR. But I will most certainly make sure to watch these fantastically futuristic vehicles race around a track at 250mph. All I ask is someone lets me know when I can buy tickets.
