Mazda Brings Special Edition MX-5 Miata to Chicago

We at Mazda Gallery are getting extremely excited for the next Mazda MX-5 Miata installment. Company officials have already promised to reignite the original Miata flame with the upcoming 2014 model. The year 2014, however, is a long way off. In order to stir up the embers and keep the fire crackling until that time, Mazda will release a 2012 MX-5 Miata Special Edition model later this month.
Keeping with the Miata tradition, the Special Edition model will make its public debut under the hallowed lights at the Chicago Auto Show. Limited to a 450-unit production run, the exclusive Mazda roadster will go to only the most dedicated enthusiasts in the market. But the MX-5 Miata holds value for more than just those who personally own it. The beloved sports car serves as an automotive icon and, as the automaker puts it, has a "history of being a dynamically-engineered, enthusiast-approved roadster whose price doesn't discriminate and whose luxuries are not stripped."1
Available in a sporty red or pearly white hue, the Special Edition Miata offers the convertible world an industry first: a non-body colored hardtop. Unlike the majority of its exterior, the vehicle's retractable roof is painted sleek black. This dark hue works together with black gunmetal alloy wheels, black heated leather seats and piano black interior accents to create a look that truly personifies the classic Mazda "zoom-zoom" spirit. Additional bonus features for the limited-run 2012 Miata include Sirius satellite radio, Bilstein shocks, a sport-tuned suspension and Bluetooth connectivity.
While Mazda showed true generosity in divulging quite a plethora of pre-release 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition details, we haven't heard word regarding the model's powertrain. However, as soon as the Chicago Auto Show is underway, Mazda Gallery promises to share any Miata or other new Mazda model information we find. In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact us online with questions or engage with our brand experts in person at 920 Providence Highway, Norwood, MA 02062.
