Highlights of the 2017 & 2018 Mazda CX-5

In the automotive world Mazda has a reputation for style and design. The KODO design principal can be felt across the entire lineup, and while we love all the vehicles from the little Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster to the stately and family-friendly Mazda CX-9, it's the Mazda CX-5 that truly has our hearts and the hearts of those we serve from the greater Boston, Wellesley, Quincy and Natick areas.

The Mazda CX-5 received a jaw-dropping redesign for the 2017 model year. It rolled out of factories with a sleek, elegant, and slightly edgy look that truly has a Class-Above feel, and not only did it look great but it offered shoppers a more engaging drive than many of its competitors.

Highlights of the Mazda CX-5:

  • Advanced Safety Technologies
  • Real and faux-leather seating (a leather-wrapped wheel is standard for the 2018 model)
  • Available Head-up display
  • Flexible 40/20/40 split seating (compared to the typical 60/40)

Depending on which trim you choose, you can get the following advanced safety technologies standard (or with a package): adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning and mitigation, lane keeping assist, and automatic high beams. New for the 2018 Mazda CX-5 was standard blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.

We also love the available head-up display which you can get in a package on the top trim. This allows you to review important info without having to take your eyes off the road ahead.

Both the 2017 Mazda CX-5 and 2018 crossovers are excellent choices. To check them out, visit the Mazda Gallery showroom, located in Norwood, MA, and we'll get you out on a test drive!
